Stick the kettle on then

NEV Posted August 18, 2010 Posted August 18, 2010 Well as soon as people pay, I pack the record, get it ready for delivery, wait til 4.45 then take the lot down the post office, if you don't get same day service from me then it's usually for a very good reason. Stick the kettle on then I suppose it's a lot easier ..if your not out flogging your arse on a building site all day like some of us Myself , i pack em as soon as they are paid for and post them at the post office after work ,on't way home . i get dropped off near postie by my work buddy at 4.45 ish ..then stand in a queue for half an hr ,cos it's busy at that time with peeps trying to get posted before the last post .......and then i walk the 1mile back to my house, since my local postie closed down! Pete ..it also helps when you have good customers like Harry ,who pay you in time to post out the next day:) Well done though Pete ,good service can only help secure good customers mate:thumbsup:
Pete S Posted August 18, 2010 Posted August 18, 2010 I suppose it's a lot easier ..if your not out flogging your arse on a building site all day like some of us Thank you for stating the obvious Nev. This IS my job and I do it well, like you do yours no doubt. Though when I was working I always used to do the post at dinner time...

Sorry Pete ...was'nt havng a dig mate..honestly:no: Reading Harry's question or should i say "post" header...."how does he do it" ?? I assumed he was asking an obvious question ?? like, how do you parcel up a record and post it ..for it to turn up the next day ?? SIMPLES............. 1ST CLASS RECORDED or SPECIAL DELIVERY It's not that hard is it ..the hardest part is getting the funds in ,in time to do it:yes:

I asked the postman today, he said at least two walks went without post.

cementman Posted August 20, 2010 Posted August 20, 2010 (edited) I think he gets too much praise on here. I had to wait 3 days for a record to arrive in Australia!! Overrated if you ask me Ronnie Edited August 20, 2010 by cementman
Ian Dewhirst Posted August 20, 2010 Posted August 20, 2010 you might as well tell him to bend over and stick your tongueright down his pants Mmm. Now we're talking. A bit over the top for early postage though. I think the bacon sarnie is a bit more practical...... Ian D
