Investinsoul Posted August 17, 2010 Posted August 17, 2010 I don't know if this has already been discussed or not but I recently saw this and it looks fishy to me (or perhaps it was pressed multiple ways). The lettering and spacing are way different and even the catalog number is missing the "45"-XXXXX. Tell me what you think. https://www.collectorsfrenzy.com/Details.aspx?id=180492962308 Here is a legit copy... https://www.popsike.com/NORTHERN-SOUL-Earl-Jackson-Soul-Self-Satisfaction-45-NM/220569276833.html

They both look the part to me but for such a rare promo to have been pressed in two different plants thats the puzzler.
Pete S Posted August 17, 2010 Posted August 17, 2010 Never seen the second one before - it's a vinyl press and must be very rare. The styrene one is the usual copy that turns up.

He means the "45" is missing from the number Edited August 17, 2010 by Mick Holdsworth

Both these demos look legitimate to me, Monarch for the West Coast, Bell (?) for the rest of the country. I've only seen the issue on the styrene Monarch press though, plus the Middle Eastern one that went through ebay a few months ago.
