JOYCE BOND 'SOUL OF CHANGE' [uK WINDMILL] 1972

Sold this mint for a few hundred but this has a water stained sleeve and a few light marks but plays fine so £30 incl postage.

Please PM if interested.

Dean are you sure it was this you sold for a few hundred and not her Island album, this is a budget album that sold in supermarkets for 49p, not the rare Soul & Ska album.

Yep Pete i'm sure. £200 ten years ago-I even remember who to but that would be rude. Remember as time marches on records that could once be found easily are now big bucks [lawdy the sounds like a thread] and also I don't think Woolworths had any branches OVERSEAS. I remember Rod Shard doing very nicely swapping shaking stevens records for northern in the states so anything is possible!

Dean I'm not trying to get into an argument with you but why would anyone pay that for this album when there are no examples of copies ever having sold AT ALL on Ebay, why would anyone pay money for it? The Island album once went for £150, even that is now only £50.

(Someone please back me up on this)

But there isn't a copy on popsike Pete,i've seen the yellow one a few times but not the up/front.

Hi ken,

Does your Upfront Lp got 'Mrs Soul' on it?

Plus, I notice the UK Windmill Lp is listed as 'Soul Of Change' and your UK Upfront Lp is listed as 'Wind Of Change'.

If this is a rare album, I'm a Dutchman.

Anyone paying three figures wants their fcuking bumps feeling.

Thanks Joe. This is the trouble when commenting on a post in sales, often it looks like mischief-making but in this case, I couldn't not comment on it. I collect ska and reggae albums and have some experience of their value, which is why I thought Dean was referring to the Island LP.

Why are you worried chaps, there is a world beyond e-bay, and some one in the real world bought the album for what I said. That is the truth, I don't lie, and why are you bothered. If the very exsistance of me, my post, the album, reality beyond the internet, offends you so so much perhaps none of these things should be in the world. I'm very sorry to have caused such grave emotional turmoil.

Ive got both Upfront and Windmill Lp's. The Windmill is quite common at UK record fairs and was a Woolworths type LP.Fair play to anyone that can get £200 for it. it.Looks like the Uk ska/reggae labels with soulish tracks are becoming in vogue.Probably because most were UK only.I have a few Upfront 45's on the black label as well.Is there a particular track on the LP people are after and can we havea collectable UK Soul on reggae labels thread....

Just dug the Soul Of Change Out.......UK Windmill WMD121.......without Mrs Soul on it.Its Got To Be You,Take Care Of Homework,First In Line,Heart On A String,Wind Of Change,Fredom Train,People Got To Be Free,Make Me Yours,Keep On Trying,Peace (sic) Of My Heart,Oh!Darling, You Dont Stand A Chance. So original issue Up Front Wind Of Change....second pressing on Windmill and Soul Of Change.Windmill was a definate budget reissue label from the late sixties/early seventies as I have seen loads of stuff at car boots on Windmill.A favourite of mine is a Chico Lopez Lp.....the track trouble spot.So which is the £200 record the Windmill second pressing or the Upfront original.....Im sure from memory there is a slightly different track listing.I must dig my Joe E Young and The Tonics LP on Toast out along with the Herbie And The Royalists LP.I must be listening to stuff with different ears!!
