Sorry I can't help with your search for SL 1018, but maybe you could help with my question about another St Lawrence release. Whats the story on the Butch Baker ''Batman /Fatman'' record? I had Batman on SL demo but think people said it had to be withdrawn due to legal objections and was immediately reissued on the next number as Fatman at the Go Go, although they both sound identical to me.

Yeh im led to believe the story on this . Hanna Barbera owned the rights to Batman from DC comics for their animations etc hence change words around from Batman to Fatman on the label and the lyrics too same with B side Robin to working. and destroy the already pressed ones .... got a nice WD ...

Thanks for the info on Butch Baker. I suppose stock copies of ''Batman at the Go Go'' should be non exsistant unless a few slipped through. White DJ copies of ''Fatman'' also seem to be rare. Anyone put a scan up?

Never seen a DEMO for St Lawrence 1011 "THE FAT MAN"

I will check but I think that the Vocal is slightly different.

Can anybody answer my initial query about Mckinley Mitchell?

Thanks

Rob

Hi Rob

I haven't seen a copy of St Lawrence 1018.

Just had a look at Soulful Kinda Music, there's nothing about it being withdrawn or anything.

>>> St Lawrence <<<

>>> McKinley Mitchell <<<

Interesting, I have been slowly picking up St Lawrence titles too, not conciously trying to complete the run though.

I will see if I can find anything else out about it.

McGrath lists it as issued and quotes matrices 15086 and 15087.

Is it listed as by Mckinley Mitchell or Billy Bland? I would love to see one of these as it must be a very rare record.
