Guest Posted August 5, 2005 Posted August 5, 2005 I have a collection of 45's. I really have no idea how to value them other than (after reading the post ratings, they seem to be in very good condition. Inheritence you might say and some do not seem to have any scratches. I don't have a player myself so I don't know. It would seem a various collection and not all soul some Beatles, Blood Sweat and Tears, Jr. Walker and the All Stars, The Delfonics, Three Dog Night. Staple Singers, Al Greene, Cream, The Originals, Temptations, Billy Joel, Henry Mancini, Four Tops, The Flirtations, Jimi Hendrix, T-Rex. Uriah Heep, Elton John plus more a total of 41 records. I have no idea how to value these 45 rpm records. I have no way to play them and would appreciate any information anyone might give me to a value. I would like to sell them to someone that could appreciate them and maybe listen to them too. Thanks, Angie
Gene-r Posted August 5, 2005 Posted August 5, 2005 Hi Angie, If you want, send me a PM and let me know what you've got. As a collector of most other things since 1975, I'd be happy to value them just as a bit of help. Alternatively, a good move would be to invest in the Record Collector "Rare Record Price Guide", to see what your records are worth. There is also a section which explains how to grade you records. After that, you may want to auction/sell them on Ebay, either individually or as a job lot. One bit of advice - if something is valued at abour £5, you probably won't get that much, so probably best to start bidding on individual items at £1 - £2 each, at your own discretion. Await to hear from you, perhaps? Gene
