I have to endure all this kind of music from my kids, and have to say some of this stuff is not bad if you work on a ratio of 1 in a 100 tracks (only slightly worse than wigan - boom boom). Tupac was a soul man, read his lyrics. All this music came from our music anyway. Look how many new tracks are just reruns of old ones with reworking. It's not particularly suited to this forum I know but for what it's worth I've just got a hold of 2pac's 'All Eyez On ME' and Snoop Doggy Dogg's 'Doggystyle' albums and I've gotta' tell you I love some of the tracks. There's something a bit (what's the word) curious! about them for an old soul boy like me. I love soul music but some of this new R&B, neo soul stuff makes me yawn. Shall I get me coat? He is digging deep to find the rarer items of his scene just like many soul collectors have done for years.
