Guest James Trouble Posted August 3, 2005 Posted August 3, 2005 Out of interest, I'd be interested to hear people's opinion on both of these sides, as there are sound files up there.
Guest cC B Posted August 3, 2005 Posted August 3, 2005 (edited) "It's All Over" is a nice crossover track IMO. And what a great looking label! Cheers, Christian B Edited August 3, 2005 by cC B
Djr Posted August 3, 2005 Posted August 3, 2005 Good Things is a great track. If I had the cash, I'd buy it immediately.
Garethx Posted August 3, 2005 Posted August 3, 2005 (edited) Has anyone heard the version of "It's All Over" by Little Beaver & The Frank Williams Rocketeers on Lloyd? Even better to my ears. Edited August 14, 2005 by garethx
Sebastian Posted August 3, 2005 Posted August 3, 2005 Out of interest, I'd be interested to hear people's opinion on both of these sides, as there are sound files up there. "Good Things" is a superb tune that I've been after for ages. £275 however, is too much for me. Knock off £200 and I'd be tempted, but that's still pushing it a bit. An old funk classic that could go in a "northern setting" as well I guess. Not that it matters really, it would be great played in any "setting". "It's All Over" has got a decent backing, but the singing is on the weak side, plus it sounds a wee bit too much like "I Can't Wait Until I See My Baby's Face" by Baby Washington (and Arteha Franklin etc.) which is a far superior track and a stone cold classic.

Even better to my ears. link Top Man's version there Garethx - blows all the others away, and indeed you have reminded me to include it in the box for Mark H's Wednesday do next week, so thanks for reminding me. As for "Pearl DD" I also dig the funk side. Cool
