Sunnysoul
The Both Sides Now website not only lists an LP by Joshie Jo Armstead on Truth as having been released but actually gives the release number Truth TRS - 4203. It also lists the John Gary Williams Stax LP 5503 as being "re-released" ( so to speak ) on Truth TRS - 4202. Anyone got 'em ??!! Or seen 'em ??!! The Truth TRS 4202 "re-issue" is just the regular Stax issue with Truth stickers applied on the sleeve where the old Stax catalogue number could be found. Compare the photos below, Stax issue at the top and Truth issue at the bottom. Edited August 2, 2010 by Sebastian Link to comment Social source share
Kris Holmes
lol, weird, never seen that one before, do you know if the label was different? like if they pressed up more records with a Truth label but used leftover covers? Link to comment Social source share

No, the copies I've had with the Truth-stickered sleeve have all had the regular yellow label Stax issue inside. Here's the label on the vinyl of one of those Truth-stickered copies (which I sold a couple of years ago): Edited August 2, 2010 by Sebastian Link to comment Social source share
John Reed
The Jo Armsted LP was discussed a while ago and it seems that consensus was that it was allocated a number but not released due to the troubles at Stax. I think she had the masters or something as the releases on her Preacher Rose label were from those sessions. There was also other tunes from the Truth sessions on her CD Red Hot such as Steppin Stones... Acording to Barry Fowden's web site here is the track listing 1. Won't You Join The Band (On My Caravan) 2. Ride Out The Storm 3. Stumblin' Blocks, Steppin' Stones (What Took Me So Long) 4. Got My Taste 5. Give A Little Loving 6. I'm Living In A Song 7. There Is No Love (Send It Up) 8. I Got The Vibes/ 9. Say Thank You Tonite. Edited August 6, 2010 by John Reed Link to comment Social source share
