Raresoul45s Posted July 29, 2010 Posted July 29, 2010 Hi everyone if anyones been interested in Ann Hodge it has gone to Ebay and is currently only £11 not bad for a £200 tune it ends tonight about 6.30pm. Take alook https://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=270611434974&ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT Also a obscure Kenny Wells acetate, I cant guarentee it as being genuine but its not a carver or Dub plate and is laquered rather than pressed. £400 tune these days and no reissue to my knowledge which make this a very unique piece. Take a look here https://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=270611431324&ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT Cheers Darren

Is it not a metal core acetate then? You also say its not a carver but its not pressed? It sounds like nothing I've ever heard of before. Not trying to p1ss on your auction just confused. Raresoul45s Posted July 29, 2010 Author Posted July 29, 2010 Hi Ged No its not a metal core and like you say, I've never seen anything like it either. The core is a flexidisc styleplate and over laquered is the best way to describe it. Maybe someone had it cut as a one off by someone who had access to that technology when it arrived around the late 70s. The reason I put it on ebay was I did'nt want to price it as i have no idea what its worth or what it is. Cheers Darren

Maybe I should start a thread asking if it's within the 'rules' to play it.
