Hi --don,t know if this has been flagged b4-----first heard it last week in a pub( The Friendly---Brill!!!) in Keighley ----Motown show between 6 and 8--- not the usual run of the mill -----tonite we,ve been treated to

Jimmy Ruffin--On the Avenue

Contours-Take him back (If he makes you happy)

and lots more--D.J--Dave Brown seems to really enjoy what he,s playing and some good conversation

Apologies if i,m preaching to the converted but well worth a listen

ive been aware of this prog from day one as it replaced richard's show, although i hadn't heard of dave brown before and, as a result, i haven't listened to his show despite having crystal clear sound here in telford...i guess i took it for granted that it would be purely commercial....same as many other stations. lets face facts here...richard's show was groundbreaking in many musical aspects, so anything else that comes along in my books, is going to struggle to replicate the originality of soul source. still....and with respect to mr.brown any homage to the music we love is better than nothing and as has been revealed here, he is a proven soulie so keep supporting him, my northern friends and even i'll lend an ear before setting off anywhere on the weekend.
