Premium Stuff Posted July 18, 2010 Posted July 18, 2010 Hi Mike Great feature that is When the clip plays it goes to the main clip page rather than a pop-up player page. Pop-up would be preferable for me I think as I could then stay on the main page while listening. Is this just my settings? Cheers Richard

Cheers Richard found doing it via a popup is a bit tricky and so its on the "when time allows" list for now suggest just right click the link and choose open as new tab/window if want to stay on page

Clicked on continue 5. Typed in reet petite into clip name 6. Hit enter 7. Got red message you did not submit any files with your download record. 8. Logged onto google to check my spelling 9. Google says yes 10. Scratching head?

At the top of the screen where your members name is shown on the left and it says you are "Signed In as ..." there are two white search boxes to the right hand side. The one on the left says in it "live refo search..". That is the box to go for - type in 2 or 3 letters from the name you are searching for (e.g. masq for Masqueraders) and the list of individual tracks appears in a drop down menu. This is what I did Thought of an easy track to find so I thought jackie wilson reet petite would be an easy one? 1. typed in reet petite in the white box to the left 2. hit enter 3. every thing but reet petite drops down? I will try another track? I'll try dancing in the street Nothing? Trying another Do I love you Hit enter and it took me to this page https://www.soul-source.co.uk/more/ Trying again I type Footsie I now get a drop down menu and at number 8 is Footsie I click on it I get the page with the info needed to paste the clip in Mike this is the clunkiest think on your magnificent forum mate. I know I'm thicker than a whale omelet but this is far from easy to use.

I think is like every thing new on the Tinternet, you have to read the screen and be a little patient because once you get it the mist clears and you get a better web experience. Just a tiny amount of extra time would allow you to type in more words and so increase the accuracy of the search, or is this tied in with the search facility for the whole site? hit the link clip plays

I recently put a C60 tapes of 'unknowns' on the PC and manged to find the artist & titles to all but 2 from searching Refosoul. Although it maybe a little too late to have all the label, value and format fields completed, being able to drill down by them would be also very useful, can this be an option in Refosoul?

Although it maybe a little too late to have all the label, value and format fields completed, being able to drill down by them would be also very useful, can this be an option in Refosoul? yep just one of many gateways to all the info a label live search can be added fairly easy will do on next round of improvements on too late adding data, nah thats all in hand hopefully be able to get going with that soon its always been a step by step process , it used to be a struggle to get members to put up an actual title at one time as said on other thread recently whole front end of refosoul is done by myself, and as its now finally a fully intergrated part of the site, can be easily tailored to fit time availables really the only factor nowadays
