I don't think anyone knows for sure, the answers died with the label owner. Just checked, there are actually 4 variations. 3 are on white labels with red writing & 1 is on green with black writing. It was something of a regional hit back in the day so it was pressed up in 4 smaller runs. The unplayed stock of white with red type which have surfaced semi-recently were deadstock found in the remaining effects of the label owner's estate. Maybe they are the last variation, but a possibility is that they were just shelved when the green label was made to supercede it & bring the Dorando label in line with the later releases on the label which had green labels, so the green could be last too. No one knows for sure though. Great 45.

A tune i have loved since the 90s, bought it on some rare funk comp album, will have to dig it out... We could play it off the album in the small bars without the soul police around :( .. Was a feature tune on my pirate radio show called " more funk than a bag of skunk", we played out of a block of flats in Salford, always a person on guard to see if we were gonna get busted... I had to give it up as busts in the past were common and they would take away all the sound equipment and records too, no way i was gonna risk my tunes really....

Good call Paul...... TUUUUUUUUUUUUUNE INDEED......
