Here comes an incredible shower of Jamaica Ska music recorded between the years 1963 to 1965, some real belters, dominated by the brilliant instrumental sounds of The Skatalites and The Supersonics. The fact that instrumentals dominate is probably down to my record collection rather than there being a lack of good ska vocal tracks; of course, there are hundreds - except I don't have many! And let's not forget the fantastic foundation DJ's who led the way for many to come with their vocal tricks and encouragements, Sir Lord Comic, Count Machuki and King Sporty all appear here.

P.S. Regular listeners will probably be surprised at the lack of surface noise on most of the records - well this is because I sold all my UK originals, many of which were severely battered, and replaced them with shiny new Jamaican represses.
