Guest karen b Posted July 7, 2010 Posted July 7, 2010 (edited) Seems like a sensible way forward to me, Will any other promoters give it a go? As more and more people travel regularly around Europe they tend to have Euros knocking about the house, and at our next nite we have the fine Berlin DJ Marc Forrest as one of the guests at Boomerang in August, so on this occasion we will accept euros as well as sterling at the door, coins or notes. Exchange rate will be checked nearer the date, and moneys money after all!!! Karen xxx Edited July 7, 2010 by karen b

funkyfeet Posted July 7, 2010 Posted July 7, 2010 Can't understand why the UK can take any of the major currency at the till, lots of countries do, were so backward at times.
ImberBoy Posted July 8, 2010 Posted July 8, 2010 Barnsley has just let go of sixpences! My local pub takes farmers produce, I have paid for a pint of bitter with duck eggs, I can't see Euros ever being accepted. I like the idea that Great Britain is still somewhat stuck in the mud, it celebrates our quirky reluctance to wake up from the empire dream.

soulpaul0 Posted July 8, 2010 Posted July 8, 2010 If you got euros that means you been on you hols and not spending your hard earn on vinyl (ovo) lightweights
Guest karen b Posted July 9, 2010 Posted July 9, 2010 If you got euros that means you been on you hols and not spending your hard earn on vinyl (ovo) lightweights Plent of vinyl buying done in Euros, like tomorrow at Marc Forrests do with guest Butch in Berlin, then next week in Rimini, and Bamburg Hamburg Frankfurt Valencia Barcelona, etc... and not all by Brits, so chasing the Euro and making it easier for them to spend here makes lots of sense. If you fancy a trip to the Oct weekender in Hamburg, Pete has put a link up for flights, less than £40 quid for the flights return!!! Bargain and a great weekend.
