Guest roggert Posted July 16, 2010 Posted July 16, 2010 A little nostalgic read https://thelancashire...7-northern-soul i read this and agree that the wonderful feelings of the travelling to nighters with others of the same frame of mindset to do something so unique -to be awake an extra day every week and listen to music that no others listened to or would even be able to understand the relevance of this music to your life. the absolute thrill of finding clothes in shops ,getting ready ,packing bag complete with the symbols of the secret clubs ,meeting the othermembers of this secret world ,knowing what was coming in the next 24 hours.meeting the mates from all over the country becoming a large group like a secret society ,i suppose like freemasons etc. the feeling of belonging to a brotherhood is something that i have sorely missed, not having been to aniter for 30 years, i now look forward to my first in the next few weeks -just wishing i was 5 stone lighterand do riker still make bombers
