:ohmy:And as if by magic..once again somebody putting the mockers on a wants .

Cant emphasie enough why it is prudent to put a lock on your "want"

Don't really need explaining but just for you ...

Grant puts a want for a record .......someone see's it and thinks ,i'll let it go for £200 or maybe even less ?? Dave writes in " i sold one for £250 "

A Few days later ...one appears in sales for £250

For the record ...i would have said no more than £200 ,because i put one up earlier in the yr for that and it sold ,but i did'nt wanna spoil Grant's chances of getting it for less:no:

p.s for what it's worth ...Dave was'nt in the wrong ,he replied to you ......there's a section in look at your box just for poeple who want to know record values:yes:

I think it's slightly more likely that they would ask around to establish what the going rate was, and whether or not that was in the specific thread or in LAYB is kind of irrelevant.

Ted..thanks for posting up .....i guess this clears up my theory of how someone posting up prices affects or influences people eh.

Opposed to Dans theory of people askng around to establish the going rate?? to me if i want it ,it's what i can afford or not in some cases:(

I sold this for £200 and Pete French commented on my sales post how it was cheap ....i actually bought it for the flip but each to thier own.

either way it's a great record with two top sides:thumbsup:

Nev, not being funny but how do you square 'if i want it ,it's what i can afford' with a concern about people asking what it's worth?

Whether someone offers a copy for £100, £200 or £300 (and whether they ask here or in LAYB or anywhere else what the going price is first) , you've surely made the point - whether someone buys it will be down to whether they can afford it.

Anyway, agree with you - a great record, one of my Guy Hennigan favourites from the mid 80s:thumbsup:
