Good choice Roger.

The first label I collected.. seriously.

Think I had 'em all by the late 70's.

Split my first collection up in early 80's but hung on to a few favourites and still have quite a few.

Favourite releases:

Melvin Davies "This Love Was Meant To Be"

Bobby Williams "Baby I Need Your Love"

Carl Carlton "Why Can't They Leave Us Alone"

ZZ Hill "Make Me Yours"

Brenda & The Tabulations "That's In The Past"

Barbara Mason "Half A Love"

Gene Chandler "I Can Take Care Of Myself"

Bobby Bland "Share Your Love With Me"

+++

Bobby Patterson "Im In Love With You" "Married Lady"

Hoagy Lands "Do You Know What Life is All About"

How could I forget these two gems Baz!

Hiya Sean, I have a nice lilac / purple Action 45 of Buster Pearson, pretty woman. Where did that originate from ?? Apparently was one of Max Millward's fave tunes ( R.I.P. ) Tony.

I've also got that promo 45 they put out to promote the re-launch(?) with the pink logo on one side and the People label on the other. Just blank labels on both sides If I remember correctly - no writing, just the respective artwork?

Hi Tony,

I still have that one too.

He was the father (and manager) of 'Brit Pop' group 'Five Star' so I've always thought it was recorded in the UK and not released elsewhere.

And for completion:

ACMP 100 Bottle Up And Go Eddie 'Guitar' Burns

I've never seen this on an Action label, but have seen copies go through on eBay on the B&C label (Actions parent label).

Anyone own it on Action? Was is scheduled for release on Action but put out on B&C when the label was mothballed in 1970?
