Claudette Sings... Shop Around

Ey up.

So I've just actually listened to The Miracles' 'Shop Around' on my Tamla Special 1 LP cos since I've got it on London presumed it was the same. Eh? What's this? Claudette on vocals?! And such a better harder R&nB tinged mix. It's neither the local or general release.

Can someone shed some light on when this was recorded (obviously between '60 & '61) and presumably why it never made it's way onto anything else? Though perhaps it did cos I haven't got the first album.

Any info would be gratefully received.
