I am pretty sure that this seller post on SS.

I think I have bought from him once, and the grading was on point, but this one does not sound VG+. I am wondering if it could be the recording....

I don't think he does. Not anymore for that matter.

I've bought off him in the past, he's spot on. He always offers clips of the records for sale, so what's the point in saying the grading is not 100% accurate??

Isn't that the record stuck between 0.01 and 0.07???

And he says its VG+

imo, it dont matter if the grade dont match up to what i think VG+ ought to be, the sound clip is there for me to judge for myself.

What would be bad form is advertising at a certain grade with no sound clip.. only to find the record is knackered once you have bought it, paid the postage, and the first time you hear it is when it arrives through the letterbox - now that pi*ses me right off :hatsoff2:

Did you *listen* to the clip?

I wasn't planning to have to defend myself on this one but fine: this post wasn't intended to tarnish the reputation of any seller, buyer, or friend or relation thereof. I give any related party the benefit of the doubt and confident that whatever alleged grievance was purely unintentional and or a technical error. The primary purpose of this post was to share the same humorous feeling I had when listening to the sound clip in question and hearing a rather unexpected repeated skip on the first bar. Regarding the frustrations expressed by others on buying records which were graded higher than received, well I believe we've all been there, and I am happy to provide the outlet, or symbol, upon which others can comment on. I do not consider the seller to be a scammer. I'll let his eBay rating speak for itself. I haven't bought off him in the past, but wouldn't think twice about buying from him in the future. After all, he "always offers clips of the records for sale." :hatsoff2:

No need to get all lawyery over this, mate.

Yes, I did listen the clip. That's precisely my point. If I have a clip I really don't care too much about two letters and a plus sign.

That's pretty much it. Although I could have said the same thing in a 10 line paragraph full of flamboyant words laugh.gif

Please note the emoticon denotes humorous intentions.

The world became a lot less stressful when I decided to never buy another VG+ graded record again, ever. VG++, EX, EX+, NM-, NM, M- are all I'm after, makes things a lot more cut & dry. The fact is that that clip embodies VG+ to many out there.
