Graym Posted June 27, 2010 Posted June 27, 2010 About a year ago I picked up a copy of 'Follow your heart' on a plain brown/bronze coloured label with Parkway written in black across the top # KP-6001.with (103.561) underneath. It states on the label 'Manufactured by Cameo-Parkway Records. Marketed by M-G-M Records a Division of Metro - Goldwyn - Mayer Inc - Made in U.S.A' I have described it on a number of occasions to fellow collectors and no one has as yet been able to suggest the background to the comercial arrangement /origins behind the release. I wasn't aware of any link between the two companies, has anybody out there come across anything similar ? Was this cracking tune booted ?

Was this cracking tune booted ? i suspect not, as the bunny sigler lp that contains this and girl dont make me wait, amongst others, appears also on a bronze coloured label, distributed i think by parkways west coast operation. if youve ever noticed the parkway part of the company that housed cameo used two different label designs with different colours because they came from two different plants. as for why this unusual colour scheme was applied, i dont know....the next person to step up to the plate to provide an answer to that will be john manship, i suggest.

Dave Pinch Posted June 29, 2010 Posted June 29, 2010 i think mgm distibuted parkway on the west coast as a last ditch attempt before the label folded at the end of 67 dave
