Kris Holmes Posted June 9, 2010 Posted June 9, 2010 seems like a good price, of course someone will probably say that it used to be a only worth a fiver back in the day but in any case, classic 45.

Yeah know what you mean, but you wouldn't get it for that these days, beleive me, i've tried. Then again, you could get the original 'Frankie Beverly - If that's what you wanted' for a tenner in the 70s LOL
Sean Hampsey Posted June 9, 2010 Posted June 9, 2010 Loved this record for what seems like a lifetime, Steve. I just got a cold shiver, just thinking about the first few times I heard it. Records like this left the insipid UK chart sounds of the time for dead - and turned a generation onto Soul music. There could be no turning back, not after that Brass... that Beat... and Don Bryant tearing it up... holy smoke... it ought to be worth a fortune! So around the price of a cheap shirt. A small price to pay for a Memphis Soul classic... ...but I've no idea of the 'book' value. Sean

Sean Thanks for the comments Sean, Not really bothered about the price tbh, I used to have the track on UK and sold it with the rest of my tunes in the 80,(FOOL), managed to get most of them back now and a few besides, and this was one that I was missing and I've been waiting for a promo copy to come along in decent condition, so i'm well pleased. Oh! and you're 100% right about the feel of this track, it def' makes the hairs on the back of your neck stand to attention :-) Edited June 9, 2010 by steveluigi

It's in virtually mint condition apart from the few marks on the label. Just wondered what you thought about the price etc.? Thanks fellas and ladies Very Nice Mate, not an Easy DEMO to pick up on any of the Variations. I notice that it has Dist. by London Records, Inc. HI RECORDING CORP., MEMPHIS, TENN. The scans Below have DISTRIBUTED BY LONDON RECORDS INC. I bought this one from Soul Bowl in the 70's, has * "Everything's Gonna Be Alright" as the Promoted Side A Variation of the "Everythings Gonna Be Alright" Promoted DEMO, which I suspect may have been the Intended first side for Promotion. Saw this one on ebay a few years ago. * "That Driving Beat" as the Promoted Side I know that it came out a couple of times on London with the two Label Designs.
