Guest Posted June 15, 2010 Posted June 15, 2010 Erm, back to the man and his sale: Q: How do you know that this is the only copy - do you have it in writing from the producer or engineer-If not then their might be 10 20 30 or even50 pressed acetates of this - How does anyone know! Look forward to your reply Steve A: Hi Mister Steven. Before I put these record for sale, I have spoken to the 5 largest collectors in Belgium, and all shared the same vision! 1 copy in the world! Nobody can be a God but I am quiet sure there is only this copy knowing to excist at these time. Greetings and thankx for Your interest. Will Starting bid is now $7,500, and buy it now for $12,000.
Steve G Posted June 16, 2010 Posted June 16, 2010 Beg to differ Steve but go back and read....Dave distinctly said the dj in question playing 2 acetate and describing them as the dogs to which Dave said "F**king awful leave it out" Well known dj or not Yes, agreed. Dave certainly didn't think it was the dogs bollox. Well known DJ. Held in quite high esteem by a number on here. Back to the thread I see the price has dropped, but still totally overpriced for a knackered acetate of a mediocre tune.
michael-j Posted June 18, 2010 Posted June 18, 2010 sounds a lot like Afro Blues Quintet Plus One "Let My People Go" (aka Go Down Moses) on Mira, pitched down slightly - might be just a different take or something?
