Guest son of stan Posted June 5, 2010 Posted June 5, 2010 (edited) What about those oddball and apparently obscure records that you've picked up over the years and kept schtum about? Could it go big? Has anyone else got it? Who cares? I've got loads. A couple to kick off this (possibly doomed) thread... Leroy Brown "Real Love". Real main room anthem potential. Uptempo, catchy soul gem. From an artist who I seem to think got his break on the tv show "New Faces"... Gorgeous mid tempo crossover bizness on the b-side of the above..There was a Leroy Brown who recorded an insane reggae LP. Anyone know if this was the same artist? Tragic, late period Platters LP on UK Psycho.. and yet the versions of "Harbour Lights" and "Red Sails in the Sunset" are choice. Zingy disco -leaning modern soul. Played these to a mate of mine who knows nowt about about soul. He just said " Sound like Soul Sam tunes" Anyway, post up yours.. (sorry the images didn't work. if you click on the link you can see the record...........) Edited June 5, 2010 by son of stan
