We love the Kings Hall,, but as its a thousand miles home, we've decided to get an overnight stay. now i've had a look at a few and found some dodgy reviews. does anyone know of large chains (travelodge etc) close by?

perhaps Holiday Inn just by Brittania Stadium--about 5 mins tops in taxi

Usually stay at the Express by Holiday Inn, as stated next to the Brittania Stadium (and only £5 in a taxi - on New Years Eve !).

Have also stayed at the Plough and had no complaints - basic, but fine for getting your head down for a few hours. I long ago decided that most

people don't write hotel reviews and decided to ignore the disgruntled few. About £3 taxi but I wouldn't walk it as suggested by some.
