Steve Plumb Posted June 2, 2010 Posted June 2, 2010 (edited) Just had this thru from the Boys and Girls at Soul Junction Jesse James' original unreleased 70's version of the track made famous on the 70's Scene by Esther Philips & Sharon Ridley I've listened to this a few times now and (trying not to sound like I'm going to far overboard with the hype!) think it could well be another 'Bill Spoon' i.e. It will sell like hotcakes! I'm sure it'll be getting played by all the quality venues BUT if you don't hear it out over the weekend, we'll be giving it a spin THIS Sunday on Soul People on Solar Radio (10am-12 Midday) Cheers Steve Edited June 2, 2010 by Steve Plumb

jocko Posted June 4, 2010 Posted June 4, 2010 Are you bringing them along to Cleethorpes Mr W, if so save me one, it will take some to beat old Esther for me but sure it will be worth a buy in its own right, fantastic stuff on this label, really is great spread. Has there been a realses since Bill Spoon? I keep thinking I missed one. last 2 I bought were BS and David Hudson. And also bring along that cheapo box you had at Silks, reckon I could spend around £15 and still get too many records to carry, I will even encourage Fraser to bring some of the shillings he has kept for you!
Guest Ste Brazil Posted June 4, 2010 Posted June 4, 2010 Thanks for the clip, Steve. It's really good, but I think Spencer Wiggins gets my vote for newie of the year (so far). I've clearly missed something here... what track by Spencer Wiggins?? Ste.
