Deon Jackson - His greatest recording on Solid Smoke.

Ive got this LP and if you havent got one I strongly recommend it.

Every track on there is superb , not one filler on either side. Did he ever make a bad record?

Guest in town Mikey

Not really an album collector, but 'Big Wheels of Motown' will always hold special affection as its the album that turned me onto this music.

Also Capital Soul Casino, the first Northern album I heard or bought.

And as Pete can pick some non soul ones

Eat - Sell me a god (with the classic line, 'my brain's so big, I've got stretchmarks on my cranium')

Hampshire born & bread.

Strong in the arm & thick in the head.

Useless Anita Baker story:

My wife booked tickets for Anita Baker on my credit card.

When her mate dropped out she dragged me along.

I got my own back by falling asleep in the concert.

That showed her.
