Guest Posted May 28, 2010 Posted May 28, 2010 (edited) Constellations " I Didn't Know How To" .......... Could not give a fiddlers what it goes for today its not rare and only 12yrs or so ago it was a £2.00 record in every box. And same applies to number 3 on my list, only it was cheaper and even more of these about than above. Metros "Since I Found My Baby" Don't you mean 30 years ago?? Metros was on Manships list for £3 in 1980! I haven't seen a mint Constellations for £2 since Casino days!! Edited May 28, 2010 by Guest

Little-stevie Posted May 29, 2010 Posted May 29, 2010 Nothing better than topics like this... I have been hunting down these type of tunes all my life.... .. All mid tempo and oh so soulful.... Thats the mood i am in right now... Like Chalky said, 3 a day for about a month should do it. ha ha... Aint been through the whole thread, hope they aint been brought up already.. Two tons of love..... Brown and Beautiful plus a really nice flip too.... Bad situation in a beautiful place.... Kapp records..... Betty Everett... Danger.. fantasy records... Kenny Young... Aint it funny what love can do..... share records... its the flip side of leave those young girls alone.... very overlooked tune by many, its blown many many people away on first listen.... The type of tune that would make a great ender, in the vain of walk with a winner i guess.. ps.. busy with work.. All in refo
hullsoul Posted May 29, 2010 Posted May 29, 2010 I know you said 3, but can we have 3 a day Sounds good to me young Chalkster:D:D Cheers Martyn
Little-stevie Posted May 29, 2010 Posted May 29, 2010 I can see this topic turning into an epic .. It could dwarf the Levine threads for sure ..... If there anyway of putting a runnning list together after every page??? then folk can post up tunes with duplicating, as it grows not all will have time to read through the whole thread i guess.. Is there an easy option... Just a thought....

Cunnie Posted May 29, 2010 Posted May 29, 2010 Thanks Mart No problem Rob. Just glad to put a few of you onto it while it's still cheap. Gonna give it some hammer in the Modern room at the Bridlington weekender as it went down a storm at Morecambe for me & more so for Dodger. Big question is though will you be brave enough to play it in the Northern room

Boogaloo Posted June 4, 2010 Author Posted June 4, 2010 (edited) Bloody hell the selections have been magnificent since the thread started. As I started it I suppose I do have the right to plug the Cheap As Chips night on the 25th June in London. It's in the soul night section of Soul Source. Been doing these off and on for over 4 years now and we've had some brilliant nights playing cheap and superb soul. The good thing is the djs play what they love and it's from the heart. Would love to do this more regularly.. Hope to see as many as can make it and even if you can't I'll get all of the guests to post their set lists from the night. Here's another few from me Herman Harper - Headed for the Streets - Loadstone Benny Johnson - Visions of paradise - Today George Perkins - Baby I love you - Royal Steel Edited June 4, 2010 by boogaloo
