More than 250 letters poured into The Sentinel's office Monday, followed Tuesday by a demonstration outside Tunstall Post Office. "Our quality of life is being threatened" said Mr Sidney Shadrack , who lives opposite the Hose Street residents car park, he continued "It is inappropriate to have this in a residential street. I was here when it all used to happen every sat night, f***** pests they were, singing 'I've dropped something good' and 'cracking up over blues' at 4am in the f****** morning is not funny" Willy Eckerslike, president of the homeowners association, told The Sentinel that residents do not want to prevent the land from being used for the reunion meet up. The concern, he said " is that the it might become a regular event and before you know people will be setting up tents and caravans on the land which is for residents, and then expand into something unacceptable like rebuilding the damn place" The Sentinel contacted one of the organisers of the Torch Reunion Paul Donnelly from Peterborough who commented as follows, "for fuck sake tell em to all go down their fuckin allotments that day and dig some spuds up, as for Mr Shadrack, he's always been a grumpy old twat, with a bit of fuckin luck he might die before 24th Oct" Edited September 11, 2010 by PaulDonnelly

Guest Posted September 11, 2010 Posted September 11, 2010 (edited) i did indeed nick his Milk if I'd have know what a twat he'd become I would have nicked his Morris 1100 Confession time ...... I may have unbeknowingly contributed to Shadrack becoming the twat he now is . My mate and I left The Torch one Sunday morning , and walked up HS to the main road where we had parked the car , passing a house with two bottles of milk on the doorstep . I thought was strange , thinking who the chuff gets their milk delivered on the sabbath . I decided to liberate one of them , content in the belief that it was the resident's fault for not taking it in , and left the other . If this was the same morning that you took a bottle Mr D , it looks very likely to have been the other one , which therefore will have pissed off the householder when he went to bring them in ..... which could have been old grumpy balls Malc Edited September 12, 2010 by Malc Burton
