Soul-slider Posted May 13, 2010 Posted May 13, 2010 No, didn't come out til the Pye release I think The Pye 'Disco Demand' one? That means it's an original UK release then ....sort of
Wiggyflat Posted May 13, 2010 Posted May 13, 2010 The Pye 'Disco Demand' one? That means it's an original UK release then ....sort of Ive got it by Johnny Jay And The Gangbusters.Must be some kind of seventies boot.
funkyfeet Posted May 13, 2010 Posted May 13, 2010 Ive got it by Johnny Jay And The Gangbusters.Must be some kind of seventies boot. Yes booted, but also a real record on Roulette and my prefered version.
45cellar Posted May 13, 2010 Posted May 13, 2010 NO STATESIDE RELEASE NIGE, GOT ISSUED TWICE ON NEW VOICE, IN 66 AND 68 WITH DIFFERENT FLIPS, I THINK. BRI PINCH PYE First surprisingly in U.K. Yes, it was a B Side both times, therefore the only way to get the DEMO on New Voice has to be the 814 Release as far as I'm aware, but it isn't easy to find. Guessing that the Blue West Coast Label for 814 even harder to find as a DEMO. DEMO West Coast DEMO
dthedrug Posted May 14, 2010 Posted May 14, 2010 HI ALL ..IN 71 THERE WAS A UK BOOTLEG, AND IT'S UK STATESIDE RELEASE WAS ON THE BREAKOUT LP;THAT WAS WHAT MOST PEOPLE LOOKED FOR FIRST BACK THEN, NICE ACETATE, I WANT IT! DAVE
Guest TONY ROUNCE Posted May 14, 2010 Posted May 14, 2010 Cheers bri hope you guys are good! What about AUSSIE Stateside ,,, mind you iv never seen any Aussy Mitch Ryder stuff but i may be wrong!! Cheers anyway N No Aussie Stateside release, either - although there are plenty of Australian Stateside 45s of Mitch. I think that everything that was released in the UK was also released down under, and possibly a couple that weren't. But, as I say, not YGYK. Not on either of its US couplings!
Denbo Posted May 14, 2010 Posted May 14, 2010 Was it not released on Stateside Ep? Also, I'm sure I have it on his 10" UK release?
Anoraks Corner Posted May 14, 2010 Posted May 14, 2010 No Aussie Stateside release, either - although there are plenty of Australian Stateside 45s of Mitch. I think that everything that was released in the UK was also released down under, and possibly a couple that weren't. Hello London, Tokyo calling! No 7" release of YGYK over here either, but five other 45s by them did slip out on Japanese Stateside/Bell....plus a couple of 7" EPs and LPs, of course!
