DIANE JENKINS: Tow-A-Way Zone MARVIN HOLMES: You Better Keep Her KENNY SMITH: Lord What's Hapenning To Your People JOHNNY BAKER: Shy Guy Sorry I can't count. Sequins "A Case Of Love" Four Larks "Groovin At The Go-go" Bob Relf "Blowing My Mind To Pieces" Most people remember the 70s tunes, I went with 60s for a change.

I also love the Bob Relf and Four Larks records of course (both sides) but I don't associate them with the Mecca because the playlist was more modern when I first went there in 1974 or 1975.

Fair enough Paul, but I started going in oct 71 and the earlier stuff tends to get over looked. The three I picked where big in the winter of 72/73. Dave.

Dave. That's true, Dave, most people focus on the Mecca's modern period. I think it was early 75 when I first went. They were playing 'The Trip' at the time (very controversial). So I'd already heard Bob Relf and The Four Larks etc from youth clubs and venues such as the Pendulum, never really thinking where they originated.

I remember I.L. playing it and saying if only Wigan had this, a few weeks later it was being played at Wigan.
