Well this post fills me with a world of confidence, let me get this right, a second party is asking for a third party to PM him about a subject so he can use this info to talk about it on the radio?

So, he is asking other people to do his home work for him?

www.boundarysound.co.uk 7pm - 9pm is deffo the one to miss tonight!

"Dean Anderson is useless at this"

Me thinks "hootenannie" aint too far behind him?

Wrong end of stick here..we were talking about a few events we had been to and Dean wanted to plug any events abroad this year if people wanted the plug..did'nt see that as a major problem???

Oh OK, shame I didn't see it earlier as I'd have asked him to plug Movin on barcelona on June 5th.

Not a problem at all, I am just being a "sticky beak" as trhey say in Oz.

Actually Steve we did plug you at Barcelona..I went to the one Butch was on in December and despite the wife dragging me away due to being too drunk we had a good weekend there. Great city, great people who love their music..Obviously the other guy does'nt know who Dean is..wink.gif

Am I the only one gets annoyed lately with this site?

Dean wants to plug European events and asks for suggestions, doesn't matter whether it's coming through 15 partys all he wants is a bit of filler for a show.

Stop biting people Simon.

Anyway "back on topic" ( sort of) as you regular posters say.

I would personally have no hesitation in trying just about any 60s/70s Northern/Modern orientated niter or weekender in Europe.

I don't however wish to offend any of the organisers of any I have attended, always as a punter I might add, in expressing a preference and hope that Dean did get to name drop a few.

Anyone who wants an honest opinion of which I prefer or travel advice etc. then pm but what I like may not suit all tastes.

Anyway just about been forgiven by her indoors for latest escapades in Bamberg just in time for Boomerang which unfortunately clashes (again) with Hip City Berlin featuring Marc, Franz and above mentioned Dean and his copilot "hootenannie".

Hi Pete, Not sure you needed forgiveness, I thought you're behaviour was very good. Although the benchmark for all of us was Marco!!laugh.gif

Anyway you all have a good un on saturday..

DJ’s:

STEVE GUARNIORI (UK):

Steve Guarniori is quite well known among Spanish soulies due to his spots at Asturias S.O.U.L weekenders along with the mythical Soul Sam. Proud owner of one of the most extensive (and best) soul collections in Great Britain, he’s one of the usual suspects in the DJ line ups of the top soul weekenders in UK. Steve will offer us some genuine across the board sets, covering all the styles of our beloved soul music (funky soul, modern, crossover, northern…).

If you want to know more about Steve, please check his extensive and highly interesting interview at the Corner Soul Club blog:

https://cornersoulcrew.wordpress.com

JOSEP A. (Valencia):

Piece of writing about Josep A from José Lledó, the owner of one of the best black music shops in Spain (Discos Mardigras in Valencia):

I know Josep A. since nearly twenty years ago, so I know a little bit about him. And I can testify that during all this time he’s been a proper, dedicated soulie: talking about soul, reading, investigating and buying records, tapes, CD’s, fanzines…and, of course, going to soul nights, allnighters and weekenders all over Spain and Europe. All this experience has turned him into a fabulous DJ. Even his personal taste includes sounds like reggae, funk or R&B, he’s got a weak spot for 60’s and 70’s soul. The first time we Djed together (after Valencia’s Teenagers gig) was a real magic moment for me…his usual spots are at “Speed Up” club, but he’s been also Djing at Runaway Love Soul Weekender at Asturias, Valencia’s Uppecut, Soul Fantastic in Granada and, last but not least, Bamberg’s Saturday afternoon session, where he did a blinding job along David De Santiago from Madrid. I hope this is just the start and that we’d be able to enjoy with his sets many, many years.
