Denbo Posted May 11, 2010 Posted May 11, 2010 Without individually valuing each and every record, is there some kind of rule of thumb method that can be used as a shortcut, say for insurance purposes, or just to estimate total value. I mean, would it be feasible to say that out of 8000 records, 1000 could be valued at an average of £50 each, whilst the rest could be valued at an average of say £20 each. Or is that too simplistic? I suppose it depends on the collectability of the collection. Anyhow, any thoughts? Who's going to kick start the conversation? Pete?
mischief Posted May 11, 2010 Posted May 11, 2010 What about if you had 5 recs worth 200 quid each in there, thats a grand where at 50 each that would only add up to 250quid... 750 out.. maybe you need to put in piles 10 - 50 / 50 - 100/ and so on... then add them up

Yeah, piles, after spending much of the weekend trying to find the afore mentioned wiring diagram. It's gonna take longer than I expected, now that you've finally got round to reminding me, as my room needs a good tidying up to find 'anything' in there these days.

No, it's me working away Mon to Fri with only the weekends to get anything done.
