Guest Matt Male Posted May 4, 2010 Posted May 4, 2010 How's about this then? Inspired by Mike's appeal for stories of the weekend. How about a Sound of The Weekend? Every Monday we stick up the sound we loved best that weekend. It can be a newie, an oldie, a classic we haven't heard out for years, anything that blew us away or stirred memories. We could start today or next Monday. How long can we keep it going? Will we be able to look back at the end of the year and see which sounds were popular this weekend? I'd like to. Since i was a boring, cold-ridden, stop at home, this weekend, i can't start with one Who will be first?

But could be tricky posting up something you've heard played over the weekend if it's not in refosoul or the collection of vinyl/CDs/mp3s etc of whoever heard it......but post up the info and maybe someone else will be able to post a soundfile? Sadly I've not been out the house except to the local shop/PO for 2 weeks so I can't put anything up either......or can we cheat and go back to the weekend we last went out?

Cheapsiderecords Posted May 4, 2010 Posted May 4, 2010 As I live in the soul-less desert that is Canada can I offer things I pick up at Record Shows? This weekend I got Walter and Sisters - How Long - Studio 10. I have to be honest I had no idea what it was and just bought it as it was cheap and looked interesting!!! Was presently surprised when I played it and even more so when I looked it up on Popsike/Kop's book.
