As for the artist Guitar Ray , no idea , but anybody who can come up with the immortal line " Goin down in the cellar , gonna gather up all my clothes " !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And the artists was Raymond Jones. I'm pretty sure he was related to Senator. It's one of those records I had a few copies of but nobody ever seemed interested ...until after it went big, of course, by which time I'd sold them all. That happened a lot, especially with the modern soul boom. I suppose I'll never be rich. Oh well, it's only money. No point getting annoyed about it...

Yes, Raymond Jones did arrangements on a lot of Senator's stuff, Johnny Adams, Charles Brimmer etc. I always assumed he might be 'Guitar Ray' but I can't be certain, and I also thought he was related to Senator. I'm just going off memory here. I'll ask Garry Cape, he knew Senator quite well, or I could email Isaac or Cynthia or someone else who worked with him. By the way, I loved the Charles Brimmer LPs and the Johny Adams stuff, even though some of it was a bit low-budget and dated at the time.
