hi only got stopped once on the way into cleggy ,but no worries as having been regularly stopped /searched by the sheffield squad I was there when they made the largest drug bust up to that time at the mojo alniter when they brought 2 fookin coaches 1 for females the other for lads and busted about 45 for having drugs total value about £12 about 700 blues and black bombers!!!!!It even made national t.v. So I always made any one who travelled with me take their gear at gainsboro that way we all arrived at the pier just as it started to blast through

to your brain, pity it fucked your memory but how many people could you talk to once the verbalisation started IF ONLY I COULD REMEMBER THE FRIENDS I MADE IN THOSE FEW WONDERFUL HOURS!!!!Everyweek trying to remember the previous weekend!!

Memories a bit hazy nowadays but we used to go up on the Stamford coach which Poke and his then missus Vicky used to run. The village "Swallow" yes.gif was about 8 or 10 miles out of Cleggy so as soon as we saw the sign then out come the gear. I remember once the bus got stopped and I think it was Poke who had his gear in a matchbox which he slung out the window. Anyway no-one got strip searched and we were allowed to carry on our merry way. Poke then realised he still had his gear in a matchbox and he'd thrown a box of matches out the window. laugh.gif

Indeed yes! My oppo Garry had a thing for this girl from Donny and set us up for a coach party from the Saracens in town. Our 'neck' of most of the necessary was done prior to departure with a few left aside in a crushed up crisp bag under the seat. I never liked coaches, no disrespect, but sandwiches and flasks of coffee made me feel we were maybe off to Alton Towers. The The coach was pulled over, can't remember where and on they came with torches shining in the eyes - it was a pupil non dilation thing! Despite the widest pretending yawn -'You two definitely off!' We were well blocked but saying nowt, then strip searched, completed with a rectal prise apart of the bum cheeks. The DS officer wasn't pleased at all and gave me a serious clout across the norrie on our leaving. Mid morning in the outside bogs opposite the Dolphin we got the 'crisps' out! - Shaky, shaky glorious days, that eerie magical stomp from the pier never to be forgotten!!

The York mini bus was regularly stopped, in fact, it got to the point where we were stopped every time for quite a while. Fortunately for us, the stupid DS would do it at the same point every time, just by a school they made us turn into, and where they did the searches. I say fortunately, because half a mile before they stopped us we used to pass a big house with two large stone Lions outside. as we passed, someone would shout "Lion time!" and everyone would neck their gear! And the DS wondered why they never found anything! :hatsoff2:

Ha ha! the times we had! I remember once when we didn't get stopped, and a certain someone (you know who) had a load of stuff still on him. We pull up at the pier, and as we stop the DS jump on! They line everyone up against the bus, and this guy throws the gear under the bus. The DS fish it out. "This your gear?" they say to the guy. "No never seen it" he replies, to which the DS says "Then how come it's in an envelope with your name and address on!" Classic! I think that was the night we went a different way, got lost and ended up in a village called "Locking Stumps" !!

We came out of the pier early morning three of us well tortured up on some 'minor grief' inside, homeward bound and buzzing took a left instead of a right and ended up in Skegness! I kid you not Skegness, nattering away the car was in charge. A 60 minute journey took best part of a day, we even bought a road map from a service station that made no sense at all! My trouser belt was at its tightest and the shoes on my feet were rattling - that 'come down' lasted for three days and post it I could've eaten a horse, jockey and saddle and all prior to Samanthas in Sheffield where best weekend began again.

PS no stimulants involved.....

Remember one vividly, we got stopped by the school, luckily we had a switched on girl driver ,Fiona, last heard of in Torquay, she told the squad we where going back to college and not going to an all nighter!

In the back sat me and Dave Peacock form Chesterfield, (what happened to him?) and we were waving at Grenny from Notts who was being patted down on the pavement, the twat waved back, but the squad didn't realise!

What luck, next morning we found an empty bottle on the floor with Riker on the cap and a lot of P****drine.

I think someone has a photo of that morning, will chase it up.
