Tony Foster Posted May 1, 2010 Posted May 1, 2010 (edited) HARVEY AVERNE DOZEN LP Just wondered what's the going rate for the above LP. First track on the album is the very in demand - Never learned to dance The vinyl has some handling marks and the cover is about the same. On the LP sleeve notes from Chuck Fly it reads as follows 'Just one more thing before I turn your ears loose. I must mention NEVER LEARNED TO DANCE. This is Harvey Averne's favorite, a discoteque special and a sure fire hit'. How right are those notes. Anyway what do you reckon? Clip from the LP as if you didn't know it Edited May 1, 2010 by Tony Foster MP3 Removed as Per Terms of Use

Guest Matt Male Posted May 1, 2010 Posted May 1, 2010 I was trying to remember when i'd first heard this played out. Didn't Ady cover it up at 100 Club as the Rhythm Aces? What year was that? Anyone?
Amsterdam Russ Posted May 1, 2010 Posted May 1, 2010 You're spot, Matt. Reckon that would have been 85-86. Was going to the 100 club regularly back then and recall I'd gotten a copy of it from Richard Domar some time prior. He described it on his list as a 'Catacombs secret sound' and that's what made me buy it blind! Funny the level of detail you can remember from years ago, but can't bring to mind what happened yesterday! Was surprised when Adey played it out as a cover up and vividly recall chatting to him about it at the time. Now, what the hell was I doing yesterday??
Prophonics 2029 Posted May 2, 2010 Posted May 2, 2010 The LP has been bootlegged, its in the print on the cover.
Liljimmycrank Posted May 3, 2010 Posted May 3, 2010 Ady played it at our do on Friday and intro'd it with info on the cover up, bang on the money matt!! Lp about £80
Prophonics 2029 Posted May 3, 2010 Posted May 3, 2010 best track on lp central park only in my view I have a demo and two issues of this with different versions both as good as each other.
