Guest Soulbrew Posted April 29, 2010 Posted April 29, 2010 Hello peeps, I found out that my Tommy Ray Tucker is worth more than a few quid ;-) and I guess that, since I haven't played it in ages, it'll go up for grabs in a likkle while. Manship gives it a £300 price tag. Is that reasonable? Marco
Mace Posted April 29, 2010 Posted April 29, 2010 Unfortunately Manships price on this 45 seems to be way off. I sold one for about £50 recently, after having it in my sales box for over 12 months. A good tune but seems to be no demand for it whatsoever. Keep seeing copies on ebay as BIN for $375 or thereabouts...they never sell. Good luck, hope you get a fair price for it.
Guest TONY ROUNCE Posted April 29, 2010 Posted April 29, 2010 I recently upgraded the VG demo that I bought on here a while back, for £50ish, to a NM demo that cost me considerably less. (Stocker seems to be harder to find of the two configurations....) The dealer I bought the cleaner copy from (it wasn't Mace) was glad to be shot of it, he'd had it hanging about for a long while. I would suggest that John just had two idiots after it last time he sold one, and the £300.00 valuation is based on a bidding war between the two of them rather than having much basis in reality. Great piece of Memphis R&B, in any event!
Guest Soulbrew Posted April 30, 2010 Posted April 30, 2010 Thank you peeps! I guess then the "real" value is between 30 and 50 squid. Corbett, is you mr. Vatiste by any chance? Have a good weekend everybody!
