Thing is it works on many levels, played it to a load of jazzers and they liked it too!

According to the liner notes in Numero Group's Twinight/Twilight anthology CD, the Mist were the same band as The Visitors on Bashie / Dakar / Dispo. Apparently the Mist 45 was issued (and quickly deleted) without the knowledge of any of the members in The Visitors.

Mel didn't join until the Dispo 45, you can hear him sing at the end of "little golden band".

I want one too

Have danced to this recently - either at Just Soul or Yarmouth - can't remember, but I can remember doing the pointy arms and singing along

Great tune, And yes Mel Britt on lead vocals. One that always turns heads whenever it gets played.

Good to see The Mist get the recognition it deserves at last.

Played it at Keele about 5 years back, at the start the dance floor was full, by the time it had finished there was one bloke left on the dance floor and he was trying to sell imitation red roseslaugh.gif
