The Tempest Posted April 26, 2010 Posted April 26, 2010 (edited) I know the 12 " is from mid 90's BUT does an original 12 " on Lax exist ???????????????????????????? Edited April 26, 2010 by 123-motown
Cunnie Posted April 26, 2010 Posted April 26, 2010 The 12" is a mix of the A & B side of the 7" (vocal & instrumental). Also rather dubious. Have heard that it's a bootleg & also that it's legit so maybe some others can clear this up. Never seen or heard of a LAX 12" As for rarity the 7" is far rarer & also vastly overpriced IMO. Expect to pay between £25 to £50 for the 12" & the sky's the limit for the 7". Fantastic record as well.
Dave Fleming Posted April 26, 2010 Posted April 26, 2010 I know the 12 " is from mid 90's BUT does an original 12 " on Lax exist ???????????????????????????? The 45,as there is no orig 12",the 12" in the picture is just part 1 & 2 put together. Dave f...........
Simon T Posted April 26, 2010 Posted April 26, 2010 I know the 12 " is from mid 90's BUT does an original 12 " on Lax exist ???????????????????????????? No. The 12" mix is the A & B of the 7" cobbled together, though prety well done, by someone for that UK release.

Cunnie Posted April 27, 2010 Posted April 27, 2010 He may tell you as he is a member on here Dave f......... Oops Seem to remember it being discussed somewhere before (possibly EMS?) & nobody was sure. If it is legit my apologies go out to you if you see this whoever you are. Must dig it out to have a nosey at the label for clues as to who it was.

Kjw Posted April 27, 2010 Posted April 27, 2010 There's a version of 'For Real' on the Roy Ayers & Wayne Henderson LP - Step Into Our Life Think Wayne Henderson & Richard Flowers had worked together on other projects

Its about as legitimate as a nine pound note i reckon . Unless someone can prove otherwise that is .......its a bootleg aimed at the[at the time, that is] Rare Groove and Modern Soul scenes around late 80s/early 90`s.....Good job on the Long mix though with top sound quality etc from memory. Also, am i right in thinking that Expansion records used the same mix for one of their SoulTogetherness LP`s ? Anyone confirm....? Ivor
