Dean
Might be in wrong section but couldn't resist the silly pun. Was in my local B&Q tonight. Years have programmed my brain to be on the lookout for something to hold 7", or a couple of 7"s alongside each other. Saw this box on the shelve. It would be no good at all for travelling but thought it may be ok for home storage. Not that well built, crappy little ribbon hinge on lid, metal hinges joining lid to box are cheap, handles won't be much use when full, but for all that thought it was quite neat for under £10. Just thought it worth a public service to give it a shout out on here. Link to comment Social source share

Must be a bit behind around mansfield, they were shelved between the cat-gut and horse shoes! Link to comment Social source share

Val (Chunky)
I use them too. I add a bit of support underneath in the middle as the flimsy base tends to sag when they are full Link to comment Social source share
Val (Chunky)
Another tip, put a bit of cardboard between the last record and the back of the box so that the lid doesn't trap the record Link to comment Social source share

dthedrug
Hi All - I like talking about BOXING However having a natter about BOXES Is as close as we will get to-day, my more recent purchases were from John & Talk when they had the SHOP, I miss that place best thing to do on a Saturday morning since TIS-WAS, Q:-WHO SAID..I COULD CRUSH A GRAPE??.. I still have my converted Bottle Beer Crete that is the perfic size for 250 45s that I used to take to the CASINO and the one that is featured on the Granada ENGLAND this ENGLAND RED BOX.....But my rarest Box was given to me by Mick Smith it belonged to BIG CLIVE EVERETT and it was the box they took to the TORCH & the MECCA, and is lined with the MINIT LP 33 1/3 Sleeve..So theirs history with my BOXES are they worth anything I wonder?? By the way TOADY BOY Cheers for the support last Friday I made it there and it will happen next March and they booked 4 weeks to here me? BUT CAN I SAY TO ALL THOSE WHO KNOW WOT I AM RABBITING ON ABOUT! I AM GRATEFULLY FOR YOUR CONCERN. AND TOADY BOY YOU ARE A PROPER GEEZER AS WELL AS A No1 SOUL BOY! THANKS DAVE KIL Back on SCRIPT.. Phone the store first to make sure they have them then go on line and reserve them thru the "reserve and collect" system.
