George M Posted April 21, 2010 Posted April 21, 2010 (edited) Postage £1.50 UK recorded / £2 Europe or £6.50 recorded / £2.50 rest of world or £6.50 recorded. Reduced postage on multiple items. Paypal preferred. In no particular order: Us Everyday People: Without Your Sweet Lovin' (LBJ) VG+ £150 Quality Detroit dancer, a current favourite amongst some of the locals there (Ann Arbor Soul Club guys etc) and it sounded good when played at Lifeline last time, so probably due for some further UK attention. SOUNDCLIP: https://www.concourse...rydaypeople.mp3 Benny Johnson & his Soul Serenaders: Fresh Out Of Teardrops (Tarx) EX £75 Uptempo '60s dancer with a big voice, which could work well in various club contexts (R'n'B, Northern, etc). SOUNDCLIP: https://www.concourse...ohnson_tarx.mp3 Lucy Stone: Giving Love Instead Of Gold (Fire Mountain) EX (close to M-) tiny sticker mark on label £80 on hold Brilliant modern soul dancer from the Spaceark stable, with an ecstatic feel that's reminiscent of their great Welcome To My Door. Starting to get a few plays, it seems. SOUNDCLIP: https://www.concourse..._givinglove.mp3 The Hesitations: Is This The Way To Treat A Girl (GWP) EX tiny WOL £40 on hold Another top notch crossover sureshot, as spun at numerous quality venues in recent times. SOUNDCLIP: https://www.concourse...ations_girl.mp3 Creations: I've Got To Find Her (Globe) M- stock copy £15 One of the best ways to spend the price of a round of drinks – so soulful. SOUNDCLIP: https://www.concourse...tions_globe.mp3 New Holidays: Maybe So, Maybe No (Soulhawk) pink label strong VG+ £50 on hold Another popular spin in the States. The price might surprise some people on a former cheapie, but the strong recent interest in this brilliant song has seen it shoot up – not often found in presentable condition either, & hammered copies have been going for more than this. SOUNDCLIP: https://www.concourse...idays_maybe.mp3 Ken Allison & Diane Harvey: This Is Out Love Story (Truth Is! / The Whole Truth) VG small WOL £25 Addictive Chicago modern stepper, actually this is probably my favourite record on the list. Plays well besides a few pops. SOUNDCLIP: https://www.concourse.../kenallison.mp3 Jesse Green: Your Love / Instrumental (Eagle Sound) EX offers Really nice early '80s modern/stepper/boogie item on an obscure small-hole UK release 45, produced by Jamaican keyboard legend Jackie Mitoo. One copy only. This must be bloody rare, and I've no idea what it's worth, so feel free to have a pop before it goes on the bay, solid offer accepted – don't be shy! SOUNDCLIP: https://www.concourse...en_yourlove.mp3 Jesse Green: Keep On Dancing / Gimmi Gimmi Your Love (Eagle Sound) strong VG+ slight warp NAP £100 Another obscure release on the same label, featuring two unknown modern dancers. I only got one of Your Love, but I found 5 of this one - I ebayed the first and got $300, which was probably a fluke, & sold 2 more on the side off the back of it – so only two left now, thought I'd offer them here before they get auctioned. SOUNDCLIP Keep On Dancing: https://www.concourse...esound_keep.mp3 SOUNDCLIP Gimmi Gimmi Your Love: https://www.concourse...esound_keep.mp3 Martha & the Vandellas, The Contours, Eddie Holland, Kim Weston, The Supremes: Greetings to Tamla Motown Appreciation Society (Hitsville USA) M- offers Nice Motown collector's item, the top artists of the day thank their UK supporters on this rare disc. Again, no idea what it's worth, the first fair offer accepted. Eddie Ray: Wait A Minute / Instrumental (Prix) previously unreleased - Mint £5 Incredible uptempo dancer, that was discovered on an unreleased master tape a few years ago, and thoroughly deserves some club play. George M Posted April 21, 2010 Author Posted April 21, 2010 Updated with sold / hold. It was mostly the cheapies that went quick - some belters still there.
