Ljblanken Posted April 18, 2010 Posted April 18, 2010 "we must be doing something right" has always been a fave. recently got "music to my ears/lend a helping heart" and LOVE both sides. i think her delivery is just in a realm all its own: super classy and urbane - yet soulful. she's one of those artists who seems (to my uncultured ears) like she might have had classical/operatic vocal training. does anyone know anything about her career/life? discography? or pics? i would love a picture of her!
Dave Pinch Posted April 18, 2010 Posted April 18, 2010 ive got the other 45 on sylvia ANYTHING WORTH HAVING/BIG TIME OPERATOR sylvia 5002. the A side is a great upbeat dancer and well worth picking up. she had a couple of 45`s on TFC which also released big time operator but from the end of the 60`s i dont know if she recorded after that dave
Ady Croasdell Posted April 19, 2010 Posted April 19, 2010 Kent/Ace have five of these tracks out on Various Artist CDs but I don't think we found out much about her so anyone with info please let us have it. They're all great girly soul sides.
