The Larry Clinton one that sold has the exact same scan as the one that closed a week ago for $3800 with the reserve not met. The good thing is that paypal protects the buyer from sellers like this. Yea he may have to wait a couple weeks to get it back, but surely will if he has been ripped off.

THE 0 FEEDBACK RIP OFF MERCHANT HAS SOME BALLS

I see he has built up two positve feedbacks, one record sleeve for each feedback for $1 ! Both bought by someone from his own location !

The buyer of the sleeves, going by his sales appears to be British, even though he's registered as a US member.

Deffo wrong there.....he gets his money and closes his account ,clears his bank ,all in the time people are waiting two week for the records to arrive.

Paypal retrieve money from sellers accounts ,they don't compensate from their own coffers:no:

maybe if you pay on a credit card thru papal your card company will compensate??

The wording of the listings of both people look similar too:

"Much sought after" - probably just a coincidence

I beg to differ!

I bought a phone for my son at Christmas which on arrival turned out to be a chinese made fake so I asked the bloke for my money back (£200) and he more or less said swivel

So I filed a claim against him with Paypal, he didnt have a leg to stand on because he admited it was a "copy" when he answered my claim and also shot himself with the phrase "On Ebay its buyer beware!"....he seriously thought that would see him through.

Anyway it was Paypal who re-embursed me the full £200 within 2 weeks of the transaction stating they would reclaim it from the seller.

I also got to keep the said fake phone with the signed statement from me to PP that I would destroy it...which I did cos it was useless.

All in all a good outcome but buyer beware

that only worked because he kept his account open, if he closed out his account paypal wouldn't have given you anything.

Nev,

Having been unsuccessful with a claim to Paypal, I claimed on my Barclaycard.

They refused as it was a third party payment.

Thanks Bob ......in a nutshell thumbsup.gif

I know because i got suckered buying a rare record for $200 ..no record ..no email replies and of course no paypal compo:sad:

All i got was a full explanation from paypal saying the seller had closed down the account (done a bunk with my money and some other poor sods too)

That made me realise that paypal is basically a middle man for money transactions and in no way comparible to a credit card company that insures for fraud!

WAKE UP AND SMELL THE COFFEE:smile:

P.s Thanks also John for clearing up the credit card side of things (third party )
