I'm hearing some positive noise around this tune - Sir Guy - 'Funky Virginia' - DPG which is the flip to ' My Sweet Baby'

Now I've always rated this tune but thought it was not particularly on the radar.

Can anyone provide any up to date info/ background for this. I'd be particularly interested in current exposure, value, availability and background on the artist.

Thanks in advance.

Thanks to Eddie Hubbard who played this last year at Dundee- Got myself a copy off here for £40

Seen a couple go on ebay and recently going for quite a bit.

Your right it does sound great out loud.

2 issues of this as far as I am aware one which is atlantic distributed(ATco) so they have different numbers.

Yep, on the button mate, there is a local issue & an Atco dist issue, both are hard IMO, Virginia label & recording, got comped on Ol Va Soul too.

I never did find a copy when I lived locally in VA, but eventually got a copy in Florida ???.
