Reg Scott Posted April 6, 2010 Posted April 6, 2010 How much does so is the sun on tower go for these days? thanks In very nice condition it's a £40 - £50 tune and money well spent. So £35 is a nice price. The demo is considerably tuffer. Awsome tune.. Regards, Greg.
Jerry Hipkiss Posted April 7, 2010 Posted April 7, 2010 Was it booted? if so how can you tell? Don't think so, as it got a UK issue on Capitol.
Dave Thorley Posted April 7, 2010 Posted April 7, 2010 (edited) I met the lead singer a couple of years ago. He is now the pricipal of a high school in Gary, Indiana. He told me that they also did an LP, but he didn't have a copy and I've ever been able to find it. Edited April 7, 2010 by Dave Thorley
Mike Lofthouse Posted April 7, 2010 Posted April 7, 2010 Don't think so, as it got a UK issue on Capitol. Killer 'Deep' on the flip too!!
Reg Scott Posted April 7, 2010 Posted April 7, 2010 Don't think so, as it got a UK issue on Capitol. Seconded, UK release on Capitol and never booted as far as I'm aware.. Also, sampled by Mr Weller on The Gift album for the Trans Globel Express track - if I remember correctly. Regards, Greg.

Guest Paul Posted April 7, 2010 Posted April 7, 2010 (edited) Killer 'Deep' on the flip too!! Very true. I'm proud to have these songs in the Millbrand catalogue since we obtained rights to the Ladybird/Lamaja/Hilljay catalogues in 2005. And I've recently been working on a cover of 'So Is The Sun' with a young UK funk band. Edited April 7, 2010 by Paul

I posted my interview with the group before, they evolved into the New World on Polydor. I also submited a photo of the world column to indiana45s: https://www.indiana45s.com/indiana45s_detail.php?recordID=1361&group=World%20Column

boba Posted April 7, 2010 Posted April 7, 2010 Thanks for the one up manship Bob. I was just correcting your info. None of them said anything about recording an LP (they didn't even know about the earlier world column 45 that was before they joined), I think they did one more unreleased record. I think the LP might have been in reference to the New World recording at Curtom, but it wasn't released obviously, or it might have been one of Bob's other groups.
