Bigsoulman Posted April 3, 2010 Posted April 3, 2010 great record, but isn't this a boot ? Yes it is, it came out on a Kent 100 Club anniversary single
Andybellwood Posted April 3, 2010 Posted April 3, 2010 Yes it is, it came out on a Kent 100 Club anniversary single just started a seperate thread
Bitchdj Posted April 3, 2010 Posted April 3, 2010 no longer available? that will be why that shady character mischino a.k.a brooklyn born is still selling them amongst other nasty bootlegs......he lists one a week at least
Supercorsa Posted April 3, 2010 Posted April 3, 2010 (edited) Unfortunately for the seller, I don't think he'll be able to shift this now, not for £25 anyway. Especially now it's got an official release on Kent. Link to kent records site Edited April 3, 2010 by Supercorsa
shute Posted April 3, 2010 Posted April 3, 2010 wasn't there a thread over this 45 a while back, think Keith Williams had one ages ago and was not to sure about it ? maybe Keith can dig out the thread ?????
Local Posted April 3, 2010 Author Posted April 3, 2010 no longer available? that will be why that shady character mischino a.k.a brooklyn born is still selling them amongst other nasty bootlegs......he lists one a week at least [ The story I had on this, (from a usually reliable source) was, that never released at the time of the recording, these Golden State copies were pressed in limited quantities by the producer of the record. If this is not the case and it is indeed a bootleg then "it is no longer available" from me. The record is withdrawn from sale.
Raremusicdirect Posted April 5, 2010 Posted April 5, 2010 Surely nothing wrong with selling as a Boot at proper price, loads of people buy them, just a description change required and prob £10 ?
Harry Crosby Posted June 6, 2013 Posted June 6, 2013 What is the original label for this? Thanks Sheep Think its an un-released track, so the official original copy would be the KENT 100 CLUB ANNIVERSARY SINGLE .
NEV Posted June 6, 2013 Posted June 6, 2013 The copy for sale is a boot and both sides of the 45 have been ripped from the cd that Kent put out . So basically those nice guys from Kent did all the hard work ,found all the uninsured material ,provided all the detailed information and paid for the rights and for the production of the cd ! Then some guy from L.A or Las Vegas decided to cash in on all that hard work ,had this and a few others from that cd cut to vinyl and the rest is history . Nothing wrong with boots my arse ! 2
Chatty Posted August 10, 2013 Posted August 10, 2013 Tim Brown has this down as a £25 record on his price list database?
Steve G Posted August 27, 2013 Posted August 27, 2013 Just proves the point as to why price guides need to be regularly updated......
