Liljimmycrank
Too many to mention!! LP's are just SOOOOOOO underrated it's untrue. Many a time you buy an LP for a known LP only track, and then find other little gems on there! Or some are just packed full of great tunes that were released on single. Ralph Graham, Sonny Til, James Brown, Garland Green, Jerry Butler, Marvin & Tammi but to name a tiny handful.......All done amazing LP's packed with great tunes. I've no doubt this thread will go many ways - great LP's full of tunes, LP's with superb LP only tracks, discussions about playing a tune of an LP when it has a single release etc BUT All fantastic healthy debate, so well done to the original poster, hopefully it will throw up some nice finds!! Mike Lofthouse
hello guys what are your favorite Northern lps, i dont mean compilations i mean by artist like, Williams and Watson, Two for the price of one ,or Gloria Jones , Come go with me, or timi yuro ect,ect The 'Nolan' album has 'Keep On Keepin On', 'Oh Baby' and ' If Only I Could Be Sure' - but generally its a bit weird! The Gloria Jones LP you mention has a first side that is crammed with dancers - every track - but comes in at under 10 mins!! Link to comment Social source share

Ficklefingers
Niiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiice !! Never seen that before !! Is the 'My Hearts On Fire' the same tune as Billy Bland on Old Town ?? Any good ?? What's the album like as a whole ?? Luverly luverly luverly.. Fingers PS Whilst I'm on I might as well make a nomination from oh, soooo many.. Jackie Wilson's 'Soul Galore' LP - I'm fortunate to have a spanking UK Coral copy & really champion the LP only offerings 'Everything's Gonna Be Fine' and 'Your Loss My Gain' NB: All the other tracks on the album were released as A & B sides on 45's.. Possible the two I mention were destined for 45 but didn't happen ?? Food for thought.. ?? Link to comment Social source share
