45cellar Posted March 31, 2010 Posted March 31, 2010 would agree but have a butchers at this https://www.musicstac...i?item=21708411 Yes, I searched yesterday & found the same, Up to the seller at the end of the day I suppose, could be that it's in demand again, and who knows when you see some of the prices recently on ebay. Having said that it's normally an Auction where prices go high with demand pushing the bids. All down to Supply & Demand at the end of the day. If a record is on a Set Sale and Over priced, Time passes & it's still on Sale for that price. I have an absolutely MINT copy on Right On, sleeve too but wouldn't have put that kind of price on it. Sebastian is closer with his £20 - £30 I would have thought.
Paul Byford 1 Posted March 31, 2010 Posted March 31, 2010 On Right On it is the flip funk track that people want it for too so it kind of has a double market. I think it is the most collectable on this label.
Barry Posted March 31, 2010 Posted March 31, 2010 would agree but have a butchers at this https://www.musicstac...i?item=21708411 How many Northern records do you see up for sale at say, £30 to £70 that consistently sell for one third that. Soul Brothers Six, Ace Spectrum, Mel Britt (kiddin' ) but you get what I mean. Do dealers consistently get the inflated 'book' prices that you see records up for time and time again, making it worth their while utilising this practise or have we become a nation of Souk hagglers, whereby we ask the highest price we can get away with and haggle down.

I have seen records at we'll say £100 when realistically I know they are hardly worth that. Listed at that price for a year or so & possibly may fly off the Shelf at say £80. Wonder if they EVER sell any, or always take nearest offer else it stays on Stock.
Paul Byford 1 Posted April 22, 2010 Posted April 22, 2010 How long will it actually be for sale at that price though? It is only worth what someone is prepared to pay for it..and thats not the price it is up for.
