Guest Posted March 22, 2010 Posted March 22, 2010 Thanks to the great wuggawugga for putting me on to this ! I Got lucky with this 45 - Fantastic Soul Stomper !
Bigsoulman Posted March 22, 2010 Posted March 22, 2010 Like that! How much does this go for then? Lenny
Soul-slider Posted March 22, 2010 Posted March 22, 2010 I think it only came out on a JA 45, not seen a UK copy or in any of the Blue Beat/Fab/PB Uk listings. It's timeline would suggest it would be a 'Fab' release if it did come out in the UK, alas there are none. My copy is a blank Jamaican 45 that I got eons ago.

My copy is on the Jamaican Prince Buster label, Its supposed to be really hard on the label or the olive blossom blank. And there is no UK release as far as I can see. I think "thegreatwuggawugga" (on here) sold one recently for about 200 UKP It is definitely one you could drop in a soul set and have a few raised eyebrows ! I think the tune kicks ! And it sounds even better LOUD !
Guest Posted March 30, 2010 Posted March 30, 2010 this is what it looks like with the original label a fooking obscure 45 innit !
Andreas Posted May 14, 2010 Posted May 14, 2010 this is what it looks like with the original label a fooking obscure 45 innit ! but this is definitely a second pressing as this red/white label design was not used before the 70´s, while the song is from 67/68. but I would be interested to know if it´s only released as olive blossom label without any credits or also as uncolored blank?

This is definitely not a second pressing ! Ive been told by a PB collector thats it is original. As this is a "wirl dutchess" press and all the re issues were pressed at federal apparentley as wirl had burned down in the late 60s and byron lee had taken over it and built dynamic studios . so this copy dates to the late 60s due to the wirl stamp and I have the olive blossom blank in front of me and they are have the same matrix stamps !!! And the A and B sides are the same as the blank. I agree that all the early 70s PBs 60s recordinds were the second press's in red n white with the mellodisc london info on. but these have the federal matrix stuff on the run outs.
