Can someone settle an argument please?

Did HB Barnums It Hurts Too Much To Cry come out on British? And if so with picture sleeve?

Mick

I think it was German with the pic sleeve--not 100% sure though- I think Simon Twiddy had it from Boston-may have sold it to Andy Rix ?

here's the blurb....

Artist: H.B. BARNUM

Title: The Great H.B. Barnum

Tracks: How Many More Times?, It Hurts Too Much To Cry, Take Me Out To The Ball Game,

Coming 'Round the Mountain

Label: RCA Victor RCX-7147

As you'll see from the photo, this is guaranteed to be the ORIGINAL 1964 UK 1st pressing.

A simply incredible item that just never gets offered for sale - especially in this condition - any fan of H.B. Barnum or Northern Soul music in general will simply have to have this beautiful EP in their collection!!!!

IT CAME OUT AT A TIME (1961TO 64) WHEN RCA NEVER PRESSED UP WHITE PROMO`S. THIS IS WHY YOU DONT SEE KETTY LESTER SOME THINGS, ESCORTS THE HURT, DELLA REESE CLOCK, BOBBY DAY PTETTY GIRL ETC

Thanks to y'all for the info.

Turns out it wasn't an argument after all - my mate Stuart says that he meant that it never came out as a 45 in the UK.....

Mick

Rob,

tracklisting seems to differ from the UK EP:

es triste llorar = it hurts too much to cry

corazones solitarios = lonely hearts (flip to the US release and not on the UK EP)

I'm sorry but I don't know the other two tracks as my spanish is very limited and I don't own the EP myself

Hi Dave, Dont you mean RCA at the time didn't always press up white demos with a different B Side? And the tracks in question are B Sides?

Never came out in Germany or at least I never heard of or seen a german issue. But it was released in Spain on an EP, see scan...
